About the event

Let's explore together the outcomes of these two Gender Balance reports:

The WomenInTheWorkplace report is the largest comprehensive study of the state of women in corporate America. It debunks four myths about women’s workplace experiences and career advancement.

Advance is the leading business association for gender equality in Switzerland, a network of 145+ Swiss-based companies committed to increase the share of women in management. Every year, together with CCDI they release the Gender Intelligence Report, which provides transparency on gender diversity development in the Swiss workplace. Watch the campaign movie here.

Event speakers:

Christina Bachmann-Roth is a Co-CEO Fromagerie Amstutz SA, President of Die Mitte Frauen Schweiz, Member of the Board of Directors of alliance F - Bund Schweizerischer Frauenorganisationen, and a renowned speaker in politics and business.

Alkistis Petropaki is a General Manager of Advance - Gender Equality in Swiss Business since 2015. She has more than 20 years of management experience at international consumer goods companies such as L’Oréal, Nestlé, Mövenpick and Lindt. Before joining Advance, she was Country Manager Switzerland at Yves Rocher. Alkistis has a master's degree in management from ESCP-Europe as well as in German studies and psychology. She is married and mother of two teenagers. Through her involvement with Advance, she supports women in becoming architects of their own careers. She is convinced that the Swiss economy benefits sustainably from mixed-gender leadership teams.

Christian Pierce is a Program Manager at Competence Centre for Diversity & Inclusion, Assistant Lecturer at University of St.Gallen, intersectionality expert and a Co-Author of the Gender Intelligence Report 2023 that we’re going to discuss in the first part of the event.

Reshma Ramachandran is a Chief Transformation Officer, who has led business transformations for several Fortune 500 companies. She is s a senior advisor with BCG and serves on the board of Oxford Instruments, a FTSE 250 and ISS A/S a fortune 500 as a NED. She is an Innovative leader with 20+ years’ experience working in multi-cultural teams and geographies including the United States, Europe, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia. She brings a wealth of experience in digital & business transformation. An IIT, SPJAIN, IMD (Switzerland) and Harvard (USA) alumnus, she has navigated the corporate lattice by consistently re-inventing herself and breaking stereotypes. Her previous employers include Adecco, ABB, Alstom and Accenture.
