The Network Leaders Program is an initiative of LeanIn.Org, the nonprofit organization founded by Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg to empower women to achieve their ambitions and work to create a more equal world. Lean In Network Switzerland (Bern, Lucerne, Zurich) is proud to be an official Network in Lean In’s Network Leaders Program.

What is a Lean In Network?

Lean In Networks are independently run volunteer organizations that work to further Lean In’s mission to build a more equal world. Networks support women who live in the same city or work in the same industry, by connecting them through events and Lean In Circles – small peer groups that meet regularly to learn and grow together. Lean In Network Switzerland (Bern, Lucerne, Zurich) is part of a global program of more than 100 Lean In Networks across 45 countries. 

 

What Lean In Networks do to support their local Lean In communities:

• Host events to bring together their local community and the broader virtual community including networking events, speaker series and workshops. 

• Actively support Lean In Circles by connecting Circle Leaders and sharing best practices.

• Work with the LeanIn.Org team to further their global mission while building their own grassroots community.

 

Why is our Network name changing?

The Lean In community includes more than 90,000 women who have started Circles in 183 countries around the world. LeanIn.Org hopes that every Circle and every member of the global Lean In community is able to join an active Lean In Network near them – to feel connected as part of a thriving global and local community.

 

Moving forward, in order to make it easier for someone to find a local Network to join, LeanIn.Org is asking all Networks to identify their location within their Network name. That’s why we are updating our Network name from Lean In Switzerland to Lean In Network, Switzerland (Bern, Lucerne, Zurich), going forward.

Who can be a member of our Network?

As we operate as a network of circles, we welcome all Circles, not individuals, located in Switzerland to join us.
